Study in Australia

Study English

Depending on the students’ proficiency in English, it may be necessary for the student to undertake an English language course prior to their undertaking a course of study related to their career objectives. There are a number of ways that this can be achieved including:

• Many Universities provide Academic English programs which subsequently may allow for direct entry to the particular courses of study at the completion of the English program.
• Students who wish to attend colleges, vocational programs or other short courses may best be suited to a General English program at one of the many colleges that provide such English courses.
• For those who only wish to study English for business or social purposes then there are a good number of short courses of 3 to 6 months duration, which provide an excellent introduction to or further development of the students’ English language skills.

In all cases, iCORP Education is able to provide advice on the most appropriate course and institution for their English language study to suit the students’ current proficiency in English, individual studies and their future career needs.

Study in High Schools

For many years, Asian students have often completed their High School years at an Australian High School, either a government or private. This can allow them to develop their English language skills, familiarization with the Australian culture, as well as direct entry into an Australian college or University on successful completion of year 12. In other cases, a student has returned to their home country to enter University or college but with a greatly developed English language capability and cross cultural understanding.

Private schools are situated in all capital cities and in major country locations. They offer a caring and safe environment and many have boarding (accommodation) facilities and a wide course of study which caters to the needs of the students’ strength and interests.

iCORP Education is happy to work with families to assess students’ needs and match them with an appropriate school in either the government or private sector.

Study in Colleges

iCORP Education provides up to date, objective and fair advice on the large number of government and private colleges in Australia. These colleges offer a very wide range of vocational courses of study. This can range from Business, IT, Tourism and Hospitality, Accounting, Marketing, Child care, and Trade courses as examples of the many different courses available. In developing a course of study related to the students’ career objectives, we can work with students to review the following:

• The type of courses that colleges offer
• What is the difference between the government and private colleges
• Who should attend these colleges
• What is the enrolment criteria for entry into colleges and the specific courses
• What is the duration and cost of study at the college
• What future options are available when the student completes the course of study at the college

Study in University

iCORP Education is able to represent and assist students at the majority of Australian Universities. Australia has a large number of Universities located in all major cities and in many country areas. They offer a wide range of courses at undergraduate and post graduate level, which are internationally recognised. They have attracted Asian and other international students for more than 50 years, and offer an understanding, multicultural and safe environment. Our key objective is to help students and their families identify and enroll in the right University and course of study which meet the students’ career need and future opportunities.

In helping students make the right choice, iCORP Education will assist the students and their families in their decision making to identify the answers to the following questions:

• Who should attend the University?
• What is the appropriate course of study in University in Australia?
• What courses do Australian Universities offer both at the under graduate and   post graduate level?
• What are the entry requirements for a particular course of study?
• What exemptions may be offered for prior study?
• What is the cost and duration of the chosen course of study?
• What are the options, including career choices, when a student completes their course of study in Australia?

Study at University is a big investment in time, commitment and expense. Our objective is to ensure that the student makes the right choice to enhance his/her career and life objectives.
